103.7 The Q Website

I picked a radio website to evaluate...103.7 the Q.
When I first logged on to the website, I noticed that it contained a lot of bright colors on a black back ground. It had blues, white, reds, and yellow text and graphics. It contained some flashing text and pictures. It had a lot of pictures, adds, and links that were cluttered together to the point where you couldn't tell where one began and the other one ended. It also took a little while for some of the pictures and adds to load up on the screen to where you could tell what they were. All the links had sub-menu's that would display right below them that would give choice on where you would like to be directed under that certain topic. You really couldn't read the names of the links because of the bright yellow text on the red background of the sub-menu. However, when you clicked on a link it would display a page with black text and a white background. It was much easier to read and the pictures looked better. Each dj had their own link that would lead to a page that would tell you all you wanted to know about them. There were a lot of links that would tell you about the show, up coming events, and the latest and juiciest gossip about Angelina and Brad to Brittney and K-Fed. They not only put links about their radio show but also traffic report, the latest news information  and weather links. There was no alternative text on any of the pictures or adds that I saw. Some of the bold text was too bright and the text was hard to read because of the color choices. The website offered links to listen live, but I thought the music sounded distant and it echoed. At the bottom of the page their are links, but you can't tell what they are because the text is so small and the text blends together with the back ground and all the other text. They offer a link to play games in a virtuial arcade that offers a variety of choices to pick and play. They have links to your horoscopes and joke of the day. So they put stuff on their website that will entertain you when you get bored from reading about the latest number one hit.  There is a link on every page that will take you back to the home page. Over all I don't think it is a bad website but I do think it could use a lot of improvement. The text colors and the back ground colors definitley need to be changed to where they don't clash so much and you can actual read them. The adds and the pictures need to be spaced out more so that they don't run into each other so much. The flashing text can be done away with because it causes a strain on the eye and it is really bright. The links all lead to another page and then back home again. They included important stuff like wheather and traffic on their site. If these few details were to be fixed, I think the website would look fine.
